Cabinet Maker or Do It Yourself (DIY)

There are two ways you can upgrade, renovate or give your kitchen a fresh look.

1. Contract the work to a professional Cabinet Maker. This will ensure the job is done professionally, to industry standards, and will save you time.

2. Do it Yourself (DIY). This will save you money.

Cabinet Maker

If you are working with a cabinet maker and mention you are after stone, your cabinet maker will send you to the Townsville Stone showroom. Here you can discuss what kind of stone you are after, (natural or engineered), type, colour, and style you would like and browse the showroom for options.

Based on your stone selection and measurements, a quote is then prepared and sent to your cabinet maker. If you wish to go ahead with the quote you have received, a signature is required.

Next a stone mason from Townsville Stone will visit your home and take exact measurements of the bench top. These exact measurements are needed for manufacture. Once this is completed, the stone you have selected is cut to size, and prepared for install. Throughout this process – liaison will be made between Townsville Stone and your cabinet maker to time all parts of the job correctly.

If you have any issues with your stone bench top once installed, liaise with your cabinet maker.

Once your stone bench top is installed a follow up call is made by us to ensure you are happy with the finished product. Your cabinet maker will be invoicing you for the completed job.

Do It Yourself (DIY)

If you are a private DIYer, upon your visit to the Townsville Stone showroom – arm yourself with your kitchen measurements.

Quick Quote Information Sheet: Click here to download.

This will allow us to prepare a quote for the job. You will then be asked to select your stone, and whether you require removal of the existing top. Townsville Stone can remove the existing top for you at a fee.

Once your stone is chosen, a quote is prepared based on the stone and measurements. This quote will then be sent to you for approval. If you are happy to go ahead, a signature and 40% initial deposit is required.

When this deposit has been receipted, a qualified stone mason will come out to the property to take exact measurements. From these measurements, manufacture of the stone can be started.

At this point, a further 40% payment is required.

Your bench top is then installed, and a follow up call is made to ensure you are happy with the final product. If there are no issues, a final 20% invoice payment is sent.
